The Journey Begins

This blog will be the journal that allows you to follow a road trip of a lifetime for a mother and daughter from the New Forest, Hampshire, UK. First…who are we?

The mum: Di….this trip is for my 60th birthday. A music lover who never imagined visiting the USA, it’s the ultimate once in a lifetime to mark the beginning of a whole new chapter of my life.

The daughter: Helen, having never driven or abroad or an automatic car, this trip could prove to be very interesting, as well as a lot of fun!

The trip starts on Thursday October 18th 2018 and between us, we hope to update this blog daily with what we’ve been getting up to, until we return back to the UK on Thursday November 8th. If we can figure out what we’re doing, there may even be pictures too!!
